The Mindanao Policy Research Forum (MPRF) is a yearly joint event of the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), and a partner university in observance of the Development Policy Research Month (DPRM).


9th Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC) Part 2


Watch the third and fourth session of the 9th APPC held at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati City and via Zoom.

The third session, “Reducing the Disruptions to Trade and Industry”, will assess how the twin transition affects trade and industry policies and propose strategies for improved industrial performance. Finally, the fourth session, “Opportunities and Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in a World of Dual Transformation”, will tackle the role of artificial intelligence in green and digital evolution, its ethical issues, social impact, and governmental adoption.

The first APPC session, “Twin Transition: Concept, Challenges, and Prospects”, will delve into the interplay of digital technologies and green transition and define the dual transformation and its global economic impact. The second session, “Human Capital Development in the Dual Transition”, will explore how digital technology and going green can reshape education, training, social protection, and employment and address the challenges for the Philippines’ human capital growth.

This year’s APPC is organized by PIDS with support from the AIM Andrew L. Tan Center for Tourism and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
